Junior Prompt Engineer
Madrid, Spain · Remote
Posted on Aug 27, 2026
We are looking for a Junior Prompt Engineer to help our advisory team improve how we use language models to support our clients. Much of our current work involves assisting a major Spanish client with their internal management structures, and this role will be central to how we process and organize their project documentation. This is a full-time, permanent position that is conducted entirely through remote work, allowing you to contribute to our projects from wherever you are most productive.
About the role
At Olive Tree Consulting, we believe that clarity in writing is the foundation of good management. Our consultants often work with large amounts of information from meetings and decision-logs that need to be distilled into clear, actionable records. The Junior Prompt Engineer exists to bridge the gap between our consulting methodology and generative AI tools. You will spend your time testing and refining the instructions we give to these models to ensure they produce notes and summaries that match our specific, plain-spoken style. Your goal is to make the work of our leadership advisors more efficient by building reliable tools that handle the heavy lifting of initial documentation and structural checks.
What you will do
This is a permanent, full-time role designed for someone at the start of their career. We operate as a fully remote team, so you will have the flexibility to manage your own workspace and schedule within our core collaboration hours. The position is paid, and we offer a salary that is competitive for the entry-level market. You will receive direct mentorship from experienced advisors and have the chance to see how high-level management decisions are structured in a professional setting.
About Olive Tree Consulting
Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company's growth.
We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own.
The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.

What you will do
- Write and test detailed prompts for large language models to help summarize complex management meetings.
- Collaborate with consultants to understand the specific nuances of their client work and translate those needs into technical instructions.
- Review AI-generated outputs for accuracy and tone, ensuring they meet our standards for plain, professional English.
- Maintain a library of successful prompts and documentation styles so our team can reuse them across different client projects.
- Troubleshoot instances where models fail to capture the correct context or management priorities.
- Monitor updates in AI tools to suggest small, practical improvements to our internal workflows.
- Help organize and label datasets of project notes to improve the consistency of our automated summaries.
- Support the team by creating templates that help our major Spanish client maintain clear ownership of their internal decisions.
- An exceptional ability to write clear, logical, and concise English.
- A patient and methodical approach to problem-solving and experimentation.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when reviewing text for small inconsistencies or errors.
- The ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while staying connected with the team.
- A practical mindset that values useful, plain results over complex or flashy technical solutions.
- Curiosity about how teams work and a desire to understand the mechanics of management.
- A calm demeanor when dealing with technical tools that do not always behave as expected.
- Basic familiarity with tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or other text-based AI models.
- Experience with technical writing, editing, or any form of structured content creation.
- An interest in productivity software or workflow automation tools.
- Comfort with basic data organization using spreadsheets or simple databases.
- Familiarity with Spanish is helpful given our work with a major Spanish client, though it is not a requirement for the role.
