Junior Prompt Engineer
Birmingham, AL, USA · Remote
Posted on Jul 18, 2026
We are looking for a Junior Prompt Engineer to help us apply artificial intelligence to very practical management problems. In this role, you will work closely with our advisory team to support a large infrastructure group in the West Midlands. This is a chance to move beyond theoretical AI use and help a complex organization keep better records and make clearer decisions.
About the role
Olive Tree Consulting helps teams solve friction in their daily operations. We are currently working with a West Midlands infrastructure group to improve how they document projects and assign responsibility. As a Junior Prompt Engineer, you will help us build the tools and prompts that turn raw meeting notes or project updates into the smallest possible written records. This is not about creating long, polished reports. It is about creating clear, useful instructions for the AI to follow so that the output is consistent, accurate, and direct every time. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to our methodology from your own work environment.
What you will do
Working at Olive Tree Consulting means focusing on substance over performance. This role is permanent and full-time, and it is entirely remote. We value quiet, concentrated work and we do not believe in unnecessary meetings. You will receive a competitive salary that is attractive for an entry-level position in the consulting market. We provide the training you need to understand our specific view on management and how prompted AI fits into that world. You will have the opportunity to see how a professional advisory firm operates while developing a modern skill set in prompt engineering.
About Olive Tree Consulting
Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company growth.
We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own.
The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
